LESLEE NEWMAN INSTALLED AS NEW PRESIDENT OF COLLABORATIVE DIVORCE SOLUTIONS

Leslee Newman, the founding President of Collaborative Divorce Solutions of Orange County (CDSOC) was recently installed for a second term as its new president, just as this non-profit organization celebrates its 15th birthday.

Collaborative Divorce Solutions of Orange County helps families navigate the difficult path of divorce and family separation by guiding the spouses to stay out of court while assisting the children of the marriage to better adjust to their parents' separation and divorce. The collaborative team generally consists of two attorneys, a financial neutral professional, and one or more mental health professionals, one of whom also serves as a child specialist.

Ms. Newman brings 37 years of experience as an attorney specializing in family law and peaceful resolution through mediation and collaborative practice. Ms. Newman not only resolves disputes through her private practice, but also participates as a volunteer mediator for the Orange County Bar Association, and as a volunteer for the family law court.

Ms. Newman's primary goal during her leadership of CDSOC is to educate more divorcing spouses about how they can conclude their divorce without fighting it out in court. Keeping the children protected could make a big difference for OC families in the years to come.
